Product Update: Address verification for each Australian state and territory

Predictive Address Verification API 1.1

Easily integrate authoritative address verification into web applications with our Predictive Address Verification API, which now includes optional filtering by Australian state or territory.

We’ve released a new version of our Predictive Address Verification API that includes the option to filter address predictions by state and territory. It will be useful for those customers or use cases, where you’re only concerned with addresses in certain states or territories.

By defining one or more states or territories in prediction calls, address prediction returns in response to user input, are limited to those that fall within these boundaries. The predictions better reflect the likely required address. If no state or territory is defined, predictions returned continue to reflect all possible Australian addresses.

So, for example, if you’re only interested in verifying New South Wales addresses, you can now configure PSMA’s Predictive Address Verification API to limit the scope of address predictions to reflect your need.

The new version of the API is 100% backwards compatible, with more detail obtainable from the API documentation.

The option of state and territory filtering of address predictions has been introduced in response to feedback from our API users. We have more filtering options coming soon, including the ability to filter predictions by Local Government Area (LGA).
