G-NAF Technical information
G-NAF ® data is available to Value Added Resellers in two formats, Pipe Delimited or Binary files. The G-NAF Import Utility is supplied with each new release of G-NAF in the Binary file format. This feature improves and simplifies loading the G-NAF address data into the database.
The estimated data volume of the G-NAF database is in excess of 20 gigabytes.
G-NAF will operate on any relational database software; however, the import utility will load the data automatically to ANSI SQL-92 compliant databases and Microsoft SQL Server.
The utility itself will operate on Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris and Linux operating systems.
The database consists of approximately 12.6 million records in an extremely complex data model requiring a skilled operator with comprehensive experience using large relational datasets, querying database administration.
